NFL football legend and Super Bowl MVP Larry Csonka joined us again this season to film shows for his award winning television show “North to Alaska”. We enjoyed hosting Larry and the whole crew for a great time hunting ducks and catching pike. We were treated to typically spectacular September weather on the Minto Flats with plenty of ducks and geese in the air and decoying into our spreads. We laughed and had great shooting and found Larry not only to be fun in the blind, but also one of the best story tellers you could imagine around the camp fire each evening. Watch Versus early next year for two new shows featuring NCRC’s cast and blast adventures.

We were truly honored when Ducks Unlimited Magazine asked to come north to do a feature on our very special interior Alaska duck hunting. Bill Nichol of DU joined us for several days and was a joy to have in camp. He was utterly amazed at the wide variety of ducks we take and commented he took more individual species of ducks here than anywhere he had ever hunted.
